What services are provided by the City of Joy Foundation?

The majority of Homes provide complete care for their residents, including accommodation, clothing, food and healthcare as well as other services appropriate to the needs of the people they serve counselling, family reintegration, and many other individual and group activities. Community Medical Services and Community Legal Services are also provided to the Homes.

How do I get to City of Joy Foundation?

The City if located 15 minutes outside the center of Cancun, at the end of Avenida Lopez-Portillo before it becomes the highway to Merida . Our full address is Km 308.6 Carretera Merida-Cancun.  View our location.

What are the requirements to receive care in the Homes? 

The Homes give preference to those people from poor background who can demonstrate an urgent need. Each Home operates its own admission criteria, therefore, we strongly recommend you directly contact the Home you're interested in for further information.

What are the advantages of becoming a donor?

By donating to the City of Joy Foundation you will become a “Distinguished Citizen” and together we will work to provide better opportunities for life for the many needy people in our state. As well as providing you with a tax deductible receipt, you will also receive a copy of our bimonthly newsletter for donors, “Between Cities”. Your rights as a benefactor are guaranteed in our Declaration of Donor Rights.

Does the City of Joy Foundation provide tax deductible receipts? 
Yes, we have tax deductible authorization, number 325-SAT-111-E-67217 dated 26/10/01 Reg. 20285 ACO 5281 which we keep up-to-date.  Please feel free to corroborate this status at www.sat.gob.mx or ask us for a copy of our current receipt format.

How can I give my donation to a particular Home or Program?

In your donation form please specify which Home or Program you wish to support.
